Pav bhaji recipe

Here is a simple recipe to make pav bhaji:

Ingredients:

2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed

1 cup finely chopped onions

1 cup finely chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup finely chopped green bell peppers

2 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

2 tablespoons pav bhaji masala

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves

8 small pav (dinner rolls)

Butter for serving

Instructions:

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.

Add chopped onions and fry until golden brown.

Add the chopped bell peppers and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.

Add pav bhaji masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add mashed potatoes and 1/2 cup of water, and cook until the mixture becomes a smooth and uniform mixture.

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Toast the pav in a hot oven or on a griddle with some butter.

Serve the bhaji hot with the toasted pav and a dollop of butter on top. Enjoy!
