Mutton Kima recipe

Mutton Kofta or Mutton Kima is a traditional Indian dish made with minced meat balls (koftas) cooked in a rich, spicy tomato and onion based gravy. Here's a simple recipe for Mutton Kima:

Ingredients:

500 gm mutton mince

1 onion, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons oil

1 cup water

Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together the mutton mince, 1 chopped onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.

Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into koftas.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the koftas and fry until brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining chopped onion and fry until golden brown. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.

Add the koftas back into the pan and pour in the water. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the koftas are fully cooked.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
